Gunman Shoots Man, Crashes Into Pole, Evades Police For Days Before Arrest: PSP (Update)

After days on the run, the suspect accused of shooting a man in Washington Township, Lehigh County, and crashing into a telephone pole while fleeing has been arrested, Pennsylvania State Police announced on Monday, March 3.

Adam Anthony Sosa, 26, of Allentown, was taken into custody without incident on Friday, Feb. 28, authorities said.

Troopers initially responded to 2919 Welshtown Road at approximately 12:25 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 26, for reports of a shooting, where they found a 29-year-old man with a gunshot wound. He was transported to a trauma center, police said.

Just minutes later, a vehicle crash was reported at Welshtown and Rextown roads. Investigators linked the wreck—where a car struck and split a telephone pole—to Sosa, who fled the scene and remained at large for several days.

Sosa was charged with multiple offenses and is being held on $150,000 bail.

The PSP Troop M Major Case Team is continuing the investigation with assistance from multiple units.
